What this site collects
This blog runs on WordPress.com, and Jetpack (a WordPress.com plugin) collects standard visitor analytics: page views, approximate location from IP address, browser and device type, and referring site. This data is aggregated and used to understand what content people read. It isn’t sold or shared beyond what WordPress.com/Automattic needs to run the analytics service itself.
If you leave a comment on a post, WordPress stores your name, email address, comment text, and IP address. Your email address is never displayed publicly or shared, but it is retained so spam and abuse can be traced back to a source.
What Roast Profiler collects
Roast Profiler is separate software, hosted on its own server, not on this WordPress site. If you create an account to use it, we store your name, email, and business details tied to your login, along with whatever operational data you enter: roast logs, green coffee inventory, blends, and schedules. That data belongs to you and your roastery. It’s used to run the service, not sold or shared with anyone else.
If you want your account data corrected or deleted, email the address above and we’ll action it.
Cookies
This site uses basic cookies for standard WordPress functionality (like remembering comment form details) and Jetpack analytics. There’s no ad tracking and no cookies from third-party advertisers.
Other services this site relies on
Hosting and analytics run through WordPress.com (operated by Automattic). Roast Profiler’s server is reached through a Cloudflare tunnel, which handles routing and basic security, not analytics or advertising.
Changes
If what this site or Roast Profiler collects changes in a meaningful way, for example if payment processing gets added, this page will be updated to reflect it.
